I’m enamored by the new silhouette Karl Lagerfeld brought to the iconic Chanel tweed jacket: just a snippet of tailoring. Amazing how such a simple change in detail can speak volumes. Aside from the fact that the incomparable Stella Tennant and Kristen McMenamy opened and closed the show, respectively, the new dropped-waist silhouette–pair with mousy flat shoes and crystal-strewn T-shirts–stimulated. This was clearly a collection appeasing the burgeoning Chanel client.
