Hi! I took this thrifted skirt: And made this dress: Here how:

1. carefully cut off waistband (save to use as belt!)

2. remove zipper (centre back zip) then sew the opening down each side where zipper used to be 

3. unpick sides from the top down to where your armpit will be overlock raw edges then sew armholes

4. overlock the top edge front & back & hem (wide enough for ribbon to pass through)

5. thread ribbon through all top edges & try on to get desired gathers & knot ribbon in place
